Formerly "The Meteor Hotel" and now under new private ownership, this attractive 1860s B-Listed Victorian building is a splendid modern hotel offering guests and non-residents alike the warmest of welcomes, exceptional value hospitality, and ideal base from which to explore the delights of "Burns Country" and beyond. Without compromising on essentials, we make it our policy not to charge for amenities that most guests are never likely to require, which means that we can offer a first class service affordable to all.
From our location at the heart of Ayr, the fabulous beach and Esplanade and excellent shopping centre are each within a 10 minute stroll, and there are numerous amenities nearby that all the family can enjoy, such as swimming, bowling, Ayr Racecourse, theatres and several fine parks and gardens. Golfers especially are spoilt for choice, with many fine courses within easy reach that welcome visitors, not to mention the famous and more challenging Open venues of Prestwick, Turnberry and Royal Troon.
